2024 Full Size Wire Class
Any American made full size car is eligible to compete except for; 73 or older Chrysler Imperials, Hearses, 4x4's, Limousines, or checker cabs.
- Remove all glass, mirrors, chrome, plastic, and decking in wagons.
- Creasing is allowed on rear quarters and front fenders ONLY. Hood & Trunk must be open for inspection. Quarters must stay in the vertical position.
- All body mounts in the car must remain stock and untouched. If you have a mount that has rusted out, replace with 9wire. 4 loops through the frame.
- All cars must have a Mandatory windshield bar, wire, or chain. Must be in windshield area only!
Hood.
- Must have a hole cut in each half of hood for safety, header holes are good enough.
- Hood may be attached with 4 Bolts (sheet metal to sheet metal) or 4 spots of # 9 wire attaching hood to fender.
Trunk: (cars can run without trunk lids)
- A. Must remain on hinges or run no trunk lid.
- B. The lid must stay on top of the rain rails. No more than 50% of the trunk lid may be bent down at a 90 angle toward the trunk floor.
- C. Must have 10"x10" inspection hole in the trunk lid.
- D. Trunk can be 9 wired in 6 spots. 2 spots must go from body to rear bumper.
Frames:
- A. Stock frames. NO WELDING ANYWHERE ON FRAME (This includes seam welding)!!! All factory frame holes must be left open!!! NO EXCEPTIONS UNLESS RULES SAY YOU CAN!!!!
- B. No creasing of the frames.
- C. Rear frame can be notched but no pre-bending.
- D. Rear Humps may be beat in
- E. No cold bending frames.
Drivetrain:
- Ford to Ford Chevy to Chevy Mopar to Mopar MUST BOLT IN IN FACTORY MANNER FOR THAT CAR!!!
- No protectors of any kind on the engine, or transmission. No ultra bells or after market tail shafts. Â Headers can be used
- Radiators:¨
- A. Radiators must remain in stock location.
- B. Any automotive type radiator or aluminum radiator may be used.
- C. Factory core support mounting DO NOT CHANGE
- D. You may run a factory Condenser in front of radiator
Rear end:
- ¨A. Factory Rearend and mounting setup. No bracing or altering of brackets.
- Stock axles and stock gears
- Factory gas tank must be moved. If behind rear axle you are not allowed to use a factory gas tank if moving it inside the car.
- Driver's Compartment:
- A. NO CAGE INSIDE OF DOORS!
- B. 4-bar floating cage; dash bar, two side bars, rear bar. (4"x4" material max size) Optional side bars may be 2' x 6". Cars may run a roll over bar. 1 bar over the roof. 2 legs may be welded to the floor behind the drivers seat. This is for driver protection. Anyone placing it on a body mount or bending area will be turned away.
- C. Side bars can't exceed the dash bar, 60" max door bar length, rear bar 6" max behind driver's seat, and must be a minimum of 6" above the factory body mount height. Dash bar must be 5" from firewall and all bars must be 5" off the transmission tunnel.
- You can weld the cage to the door post, (DOORS can be welded up to 5 inches per side to cage bar ) cowl,steering column to secure cage. ¨
- D. Gas tanks and batteries must be moved, safely secured, and covered.
- Battery holder mounted to floor sheet metal only single battery
- Aftermarket, shifter allowed
- Steering column must be factory FROM STEERING WHEEL TO STEERING BOX
- No tranny coolers
Bumpers:
- Any factory car bumper is permitted.
- Pipe bumpers are permitted. Single pipe only. No more than a 6 in. point. Ends must be rounded.
- Loaded bumpers allowed hard nosed allowed to core support. You may weld bumper to first inch of frame.
Tires
- Skid steers on car rims no solid rims no bead locks
- Valve stem protectors ok.
Suspension:¨
- A. Factory stock only Front and back must bounce. DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING
- B. Screw in spring risers may be used
Notes:
- A. Any car that does not pass inspection on its first attempt will be have one chance to fix things with only 5 infractions max!!!
- B. No refunds!! Car will not be inspected until entry fee has been paid.
- C. If the rules don't say it can be done, then that means it can't be done!!!
- D. Never assume. Always ask to be sure!
E. Only welds on the car are listed in the rules if it doesn't say you can, don't do it!!!
- F. Drivers have the right to look at all cars. Crew members do not!! If there is a complaint or a question about a car it must be brought to the inspection team's attention 30 minutes prior to the start of the show.
- ¨G. Once a car passes inspection the hood and trunk will be allowed to be fastened down.
- H. Inspection will start approximately 4 hours before each event. INSPECTION CLOSES 1 HOUR BEFORE THE START OF THE EVENT!!! IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO MAKE IT BEFORE THAT DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME DRIVING THERE!!! THIS IS YOUR ONLY WARNING!!! Any car that fails to comply with these rules will not run and entry fees will not be refunded.
